Summer Project – FleetWars

So now it has come to this. Summer is here and I feel the need to to something. I applied for a summer job but didn’t get an answer, so the project for this summer is called Fleet Wars!

Fleet Wars will be a massive multiplayer on-line role playing game placed in the outer space. Long name? Sure, some of you might recognize these types of games as MMORPG. It will be a web-based 2D game with some animations to begin with. There are plans to move beyond this plattform but there is a need for a base first. The launch date will be some time this summer, I do not want to make any promisses for definite dates.

I was at one of Roger’s concerts in Athens on the 9:th of July. The show is going to be released as a DVD and therefore all the mobile phones and digital cameras were forbidden, because of the flashlights that would destroy the images on the wall.

Anyway, someone somehow managed to sneak in a camera and record Comfortably Numb, hopefully without any flashlight.

Panasonic Lumix FT3

Here is a sample video of my new Panasonic Lumix FT3. It can record in full HD and it geotags the pictures and videos automatically with the build-in GPS receiver. The greatest part is that it works 12 meters under water. I will get some cool fishy videos this summer =)

Circular Polarizer Filter

Today I received a CPL (circular polarizer filter) for my DSRL. The one I made myself a few weeks ago got scratched very easily and I didn’t find any efficient way to attach it to my camera.

Here are some example pictures I took with and without the filter. Now I can say one thing for sure: The filter is never getting off my camera =)
